iPad
The iPad [1] is a Tablet PC designed and developed by Apple. It is particularly oriented media such as books, newspapers, magazines, movies, music, games, but also to the Internet and access to his emails. History

Wi-Fi + 3G
Models WiFi + 3G including them between 599 and € 799 can connect to UMTS / HSDPA (850 MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz) and GSM / EDGE (850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz 1900 MHz). Models WiFi + 3G are not locked, like the iPhone.

Basic Features
The iPad is running the operating system iOS, developed by Apple for its mobile devices. Applications developed by third parties
All applications available on the App Store, which represents about 200,000 (to launch in France), working with the iPad, and applications specific to the platform can be developed through the SDK from Apple.
The desire of Steve Jobs, Adobe Flash technology is not incorporated into the iPad, as is the case now on the iPhone and iPod touch.
Accessories
Apple has announced the availability of accessories (sold separately) for the iPad:
* The iPad Keyboard Dock, a base station acting as host and horizontal physical keyboard for the device. It has a 30-pin connector to recharge and synchronize with a computer iPad, and an audio output jack. There is also a self-docking, the iPad Dock. Knowing that the iPad integrates Bluetooth wireless technology, it also works with the Apple wireless keyboard (or headphones, the BT functionality is not provided for exchanging files with other devices);
* The iPad Case, a protective cover, which can enhance the unit for easy typing on the keyboard, or to present standing;
* The Camera Connection Kit, two connectors to import photos from a camera connected via USB, or by reading an SD card (formatted by the camera only);
* The iPad adapter Dock Connector to VGA for connecting the iPad to a screen with a VGA input. You can use it to play videos (Videos, YouTube and Safari), Keynote presentations, photos and other third party applications.
