Supernatural (TV series)
Supernatural (in Quebec) is an American television series created by Eric Kripke and produced by one of the executive producers McG. The series, filmed in Vancouver, is broadcast in the United States since September 13, 2005 on The WB (now The CW in September 2006) and the chain Dusk in Quebec, the original version.
In Belgium, the series was broadcast from October 13, 2006 on Plug RTL in France since December 4, 2006 TF6 and on since March 24, 2007 on M6, in Switzerland and Quebec TSR1 Channel Ztele.
Synopsis
Supernatural follows the adventures of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester (played respectively by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles), hunter of supernatural creatures.
Sam and Dean crisscross the United States aboard a black Chevrolet Impala 1967 and investigate paranormal phenomena (often from folklore, superstitions, myths and urban legends but also American supernatural monsters such as ghosts, wolves werewolves, demons, vampires ...). Generally, each episode takes place in a different place in the country and is investigating a paranormal phenomenon. The plot of the series has evolved during the different seasons.
The first season tells the meeting of two brothers and their efforts to find their father and the demon responsible for killing their mother 22 years earlier and that of Jessica, the girlfriend of Sam
The second season is mainly centered around Sam, the demonic powers that develops and plans the yellow eyed demon (Azazel) has planned for him. It also shows the difficulties of Dean to accept that her father be sacrificed to save him.
During the third season, the brothers are desperately seeking a way to free Dean of the pact he made with a demon. The pact, made in order to bring Sam back to life, leaves him a year to live before it is sent to Hell.
In the fourth season, Dean, back among the living through the intervention of angels, is to prevent the Apocalypse from happening. He is assisted by Sam but relations become strained between Winchester when Dean discovers that his brother is lying to him and continues to use his demonic powers and their relationship becomes tragically shattered at the end of the season.
In the fifth season, our two heroes must now stop Lucifer and the Apocalypse. However, the two brothers disagree with the fact that Dean can not forgive his betrayal of Sam having resulted in the release of the devil, leading to the beginning of the end of the world. Nevertheless, as and when the season, the two brothers reaprennent to team up and Dean finds little by little confidence he had lost Sat.
